Websites for writers/scriptwriters #2 [info dump]

Let’s dive into some other places where we can get something going for us – writers and scriptwriters.

1. Authors Publish ( https://authorspublish.com )

Here you have posts with ongoing publishers/agents seeking submissions. That or lists where you can submit your works.

Also freebies into exploring self-publishing and some good things to note out there.

2. Luxembourg Art Prize ( https://www.luxembourgartprize.com/en/ )

For you creatives out there – there is Art Prize that you can apply to and get some financial add-on. But yeah, that’s like – annual thing, so each year you have option to participate with art bit.

BUT I AM AN AUTHOR THO!

Babe, Art can be Writing if you know how to make a THING out of it. Anything is ART! Print/textile/paint/crochet/digital – as long as you get that wild idea and make it work.

3. The Dots ( https://the-dots.com )

Ana, what the hell? How does it apply?

Hun, this is like the great treasure throve for the seeking people to collab with or possibly to employ/freelance for own things. Also – a place to throw own works out there for those who are interested in what you do.

They also host events online/offline so that you can go and meet people of like-minded stuff. And “Explore” section gives you option of the stuff:

4. Stage 32 ( https://www.stage32.com/welcome )

Stage 32 is like the dope Uncle that hooks you up with odd stuff. It has the options of finding/talking/collaborating with people from Film industry, Scriptwriting and more. Like – you need Producers – you got them!
You need film crew? You got those too!

You want to get some insights from the industry people about your script/manuscript and if it has potential to be adapted?
Yeah, you guessed right – You got it!

Please NOTE – That the whole lot of these options are PAID FOR.
You may have the choice of professional who you approach for the comments, you might have the goodness of compliments – but you’re paying for the ride.

And they do post jobs that need people in industry all over the world.

5. Campfire ( https://www.campfirewriting.com )

So, have you thought about making your fantasy world hella archive-documented and detailed?

This evil thing here helps you do that in a very systematic way. It might even appeal to you like it’s a whole lot of DnD game experience.

What do I mean by that?

When you register even with the FREE option, you get this thrown in your face:

Making you have all that on the left side, with more and more details to put in as you open each section. SO you can go a bit psycho in details adding things you did not even think of at first, but then the system reminded you of such-&-such bits and you went “Aaaah, yes, that will be…” and add more details.

Example – you decide you need a religion in your book:

And this shows up.

Of course you’re to create all that is out there, if you are as detail bent as I am. But maybe you just over all place something out that barely makes sense.

Or maybe you need species..

Cool thing to toy around. Try it.

6. Duotrope ( https://duotrope.com )

Simple thing – pay money per month or per year (it’s not that much, really) and get to know all the goddamn available places where you can submit your works free or paid. Same applies to the Literary Agents.

This website has a cool feature of Email newsletter where it shows the details of the available submissions places/people on the email – in case you don’t wanna pay the site. You Pirate)) (below is example of what’s in the email)

7. Resartis.Org ( https://resartis.org )

What is this? This is the website that shows places with options of residencies for artisans, writers and creators.

You can go into Open Calls or just select the Area of the World that’s presented on the main page and see open calls.

Click on the project that got your attention and check the details:

Example here comes with open dates and application deadlines, what is paid for and what you have to pay for yourself. Yes THE OPEN CALL RESIDENCIES DO PAY YOU DEPENDING ON RESIDENCY. You are welcome.

Or like:

8. Writers Duet ( https://www.writerduet.com )

This is for those of you who want easy writing for their script with system that allows you to collab simultaneously with someone else. Free option of website allows limited free scripts to make, but is still a dope thing coz you can export files PDF format. WITH ALL THE SCRIPT LOOKS INTACT!

Like, this is what you get when you begin your work on it!

Not gonna lie – good stuff.

Just so you know – we’re not even close to being done with resources I know. Ahaha. Looking forward to new info dump? You betcha!
